D-DAY IN OHIO AND TEXAS

It’s D-day in Ohio and Texas.

Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are locked up.

No one knows who has a clear upper hand.

After sweeping 11 straight victories, Barack Obama is facing the toughest challenge this primaries have offered after the much expected Clinton Hampshire victory.

All is not scary though. Two weeks back, Hillary Clinton had more than massive support according to electoral polls.

Today, that gap has virtually dissolved leaving confusion in what people speculate to be the best ever run to a USA presidential election.

Polls on voting on voting days in Ohio and Texas give Clinton modest lead.

According to a Reuters/C-SPAN/Houston Chronicle poll released on Tuesday, “Hillary Clinton gained ground on rival Barack Obama to take a slim lead in Texas and pull even in Ohio before their crucial Democratic presidential showdowns.

Clinton needs victories in both big-state battles to keep her candidacy alive and halt Obama's string of 11 consecutive victories in the race to choose the Democratic nominee in November's presidential election.

But what makes Obama stand aside?

My love for the Illinois senator spans from his African Heritage. Honestly, could Obama have been a blood “African-American,” i don’t think I would have gathered this much support for him.

Like a typical African, policies preached by candidates normally don’t stand such a candidate chance to win and I may be forgiven for falling short of looking out for critical reforms Americans are yearning for.

Change is human especially after a drastic spell.

Americans too have been preached to, convinced or even intellectually bribed but somehow, the change much expected has not come to effect.

Obama provides that platform. Change not just in a sense for it but a historical one.

Hillary Clinton has a clean political background thanks to her husband and former US president, Bill Clinton.

Whatever her plans are, a section of Americans look at her as a log ready just turn the already rotting tree trunk.

George Bush Jnr. Promised reforms and instead blew it out of proportions. Today his head is hidden in a complex USA political blanket.

Change other than reforms is what Americans are ready to gamble on.

Is the change existent?

The people are willing to change. The people are the power. The power of change thus lies in the hands of not Obama but the American people.

Barack Obama has been endorsed to bring that change in 11 straight primaries under the democratic ticket. I consider the Senator to be a representative of the people not relying too much on his credentials to bring about that change.

American politics has been in a rather predictable path. I can describe the post Bush error as a “recovery period.” Bush Sr. didn’t impress as much as Bill Clinton did. Bush certainly hasn’t impressed.

While it’s close to call, Obama’s tool during the campaign is backed by just one word. Change.

Looking critically at this years candidates, policies read out in majority states have some degree of resemblance. Obama’s reforms do not stretch far from Clintons but because the people have chosen change…so be it.

While the polls show the New York senator taking a 47 percent to 44 percent lead on Obama in Texas, reversing Obama's 3-point edge earlier, the race in Ohio deadlocked at 44 percent in the polling by Zogby International; it’s up to the Americans not polls to change statistics.

Yes We Can....To be honest we Africans are so proud of Obama. His African heritage, that is something awesome, i believe the American people will entrust him with the vote...to bring about change...And the change they can believe. Lets pray for him Bravo.
Atleast he has shown that he is a potential choice for America after11 consecutive victories........We wish him luck.
