2007 Resolutions: Assesment time is now

A friend told me, new year resolutions work towards building ones future intents.That is yet to go down my approval.

Last year..Sorry. Early this year..meaning January, like any other ambitious brother, i put forward resolutions which were meant to turn my life around.In deed they were to turn my life around.

Without a node: think big and you will get big.Thats the theory i took on.

My ambitions were diversified into: Economical, spiritual, educational and social.

Written down in BOLD RED, i meant every word that went down my diary on a changing and hopeful 1st January 2007.

I vowed to disown a reluctant part of me just to make sure nothing gets a cross.

11 months later, have these been logged? Am i as great as planed? Whats the percentage of achieved and failed? I know it may not be the best time to ask about New Years Resolution the fact that the biggest birthday celebration of the year is just days away.

Do you take time to look for that piece of paper or flip back your diary's pages to January checking out what you achieved and what you didn't?

You must have probably washed it in a laundry on realizing matters weren't as merry as they seemed on paper.

Asses yourself. With the new year a peep away, have you made constructive this year. There are those who though still give lame excuses..."the year is not done yet."

Excuses and nothing but excuses kills our resolutions.

Resolving to start or stop doing a certain activity has no value unless you have the proper motivation for stopping or starting that activity. Without the proper motivation, you will be proudly pretending.

According About.com, "If you are not serious enough about making a resolution to spend some time thinking about them, then you are unlikely to be serious enough keeping them."

Taking time to meditate and seriously think of whats good for you is worth making the bet. A pen or pencil and paper do not change one. Writing is one thing. Following them is another.

It's mind set.

The simple rule is that – don’t expect too much from yourself. Its more reasonable to lay down few resolutions to avoid being pressured.

Heading gender, effective new year resolutions for women according to New Years is more about creating an ambiance of fun and enjoyment at home with kids and husband.

Since women are the main motivators of the family and shoulder day to day responsibility of the house, its time to prepare for new family budgets and cut down on family's useless excessive expenditure.

Sadly Christmas won't let them think that direction now.

For men resolutions allows them to have a rethink on their lives and helps them to get back on their track through careful planning.

Setting a goal without formulating a plan is merely wishful thinking. Heading towards the new year, a food for thought could make 2008 a closer one.

Create Your Plan Immediately.
Commit your resolution and plan to writing someplace, such as a notebook or journal.

Think "Year Round," Not Just New Year's.
Nothing big gets accomplished in one day. Resolutions are set in one day, but accomplished with a hundred tiny steps that happen throughout the year. New Year's resolutions should be nothing more than a starting point. You must develop a ritual or habit for revisiting your plan.

Remain Flexible.
Expect that your plan can and will change. Life has a funny way of throwing unexpected things at us, and flexibility is required to complete anything but the simplest goal. Sometimes the goal itself will even change.
